Aulus Conjunction is a collaboration between James Davoll and T M Shaw.

This collection of field recordings, made by T M Shaw and James Davoll during a residency at CAMP in 2018 led by Chris Watson, offer a rendering of the diverse spaces surrounding Aulus-les-Bains. A wide variety of listening techniques and audio technologies were employed presenting new sonic perspectives on this complex landscape. Air pressure microphones collect the sounds of frogs, birds, sheep and ants. Rain and wind interacting with the ski-lift cables are revealed through contact microphones. Vibrational feedback loops are transduced through an old steel Plough in a field full of crickets. Pieces are presented here as single takes with some very simple edits and layerings.
